Does Homeland handle repeat flood claims in Ocean County?▶
Yes. New Jersey’s state hazard mitigation plan counts more than 1,000 repetitive-loss flood properties in Ocean County, so many owners have filed more than once. Homeland documents each loss on its own and handles the claim with your insurer; call our local line 24/7 at (732) 517-3777.
Does Homeland handle storm and flood claims in Ocean County?▶
Yes. Hurricane, nor’easter, wind and flood claims are among the losses Homeland handles in New Jersey. How long does an insurance company have to respond to my claim in New Jersey?▶
New Jersey regulations require insurers to begin an investigation within 10 working days of notice of a claim, and set a 30-calendar-day period, running from receipt of a properly executed proof of loss, for first-party claims. If more time is needed, the insurer must explain why in writing, with updates every 45 days, unless a clear justification or other law provides otherwise.
